3CX Phone System Aids Hurricane Struck Community

3CX Phone System Deployed to Assist Emergency Services after a HurricaneIn October 2011, a hurricane struck the Northeastern region of the USA, taking out power and telecom lines and forcing many people into shelters. 3CX Premium Partner, Charles Ambrosecchia of SigmaVoIP, had converted his SUV into a mobile demonstration tool for 3CX Phone System and used it to aid the local emergency services and the community.

The local police’s emergency center had lost its communications, and thanks to 3CX Phone System’s advanced features enabling offloading of audio traffic and instant provisioning of all endpoints over the WiFi service that was provided from Charles’ vehicle, they were able to be reconnected. Charles traveled from shelter to shelter getting people to connect with their loved ones.

Charles Ambrosecchia said, “‘Powerful, easy and incredibly flexible’ best describes 3CX even under the most challenging conditions where no other solution would have come close to working.”

Read the full case study of how the emergency services turned to 3CX Phone System after a hurricane here, as well as to see how Charles created the 3CX-mobile.
