Monitoring Solutions

Posted on 21/06/201108/03/2023 by Phil

Using Nagios I was able to create a monitoring system to monitor in real time all connection endpoints for Hello Telecoms Private IP based telecommunications network, alerting them instantly if there was a problem with one of there client’s endpoints, these end points included Routers, Switches, Phones and PBX’s

Utilizing cacti to graph response times and to monitor active calls for Hello Telecoms hosted Asterisk based communication system enables them to identify any heavy load or useage on the servers both in terms of active calls and other Stats Like CPU Load, RAM Usage, Hard Drive space, Network Through Put etc, this in tern allowed Hello Telecom to plan upgrades and network down time and to plan for new Server and network hard ware as call traffic continued to increase
